How to install the app

Infotainment

1. Go to the In-Car shop.
2. Download the Pay to Fuel app.
3. Make sure you are registered for the service in the MyŠkoda app. (You cannot register via an infotainment app.)
4. Start fuelling.

Availability for your Škoda

You can check the availability of the app for your Škoda here. The Pay to Fuel app is available for cars with the Škoda Connect services activated.

FAQ – Fueling

How can I start using the Pay to Fuel services? What are the preconditions?

Preconditions of the Pay to Fuel functionality:

  • Active Škoda Connect account
  • Mobile app: devices with iOS 12+ and Android 6.0+ supported (same as for MyŠkoda App)
  • Web app: Infotainment screen larger than 9.2 inches. Infotainment screen in Enyaq is not supported.
Can I pair my Pay to Fuel account with more vehicles? Can I pair my vehicle with the second Pay to Fuel account?

No, in the current version it is possible to pair your account with only one vehicle. If you want to use Pay to Fuel for other vehicles, you will have to create a separate account for each one.

And no, one vehicle cannot be assigned to multiple user accounts. Every vehicle needs its own separate Pay to Fuel account.

In which countries is the Pay to Fuel service available?

The Pay to Fuel service is available in all the major countries:

  • Germany
  • Denmark
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Switzerland
  • Luxembourg
On which touchpoints will I be able to access the Pay to Fuel app?

The Pay to Fuel service is available to customers in the web app (in-car infotainment). 

In the MyŠkoda Essential app will be only focused on registration and activation of the service. However, new version of the MyŠkoda App (version 7) will allow customers to fully utilize the Pay to Fuel service in conjunction with the Pay to Park service (payment flow).

Since then both services can be fully utilized either through the vehicle's infotainment system or via the MyŠkoda App.

Why a petrol station I know is not listed in the app?

The coverage of the service depends on the partner’s coverage – Parkopedia and RYD. The fueling coverage is continually extending. We are currently working together on bringing more petrol station into the service.

Can I use the Pay to Fuel service without Škoda Connect package?

Pay to Fuel service cannot be used without activated Škoda Connect package.

How is my personal data are used? What personal information do you work with?

Personal data usage is covered in the Client terms and conditions (T&Cs) which would have to be acknowledged during account creation.

FAQ – Payment

Do I have to pay for the Pay to Fuel service?

Pay to Fuel is part of his Škoda Connect package and is therefore paid within Škoda Connect license. There is no need to pay for the service separately. Price for fuel at specific petrol stations is always defined by the station itself and Škoda can't influence it.

How the payment for the fueling is handled?

Payment is handled via payment getaway of Parkopedia, a partner of Škoda Auto in provisioning of fueling payment feature.

Why my payment method got blocked?

Parkopedia has a thorough fraud protection mechanisms in place, therefore one or more of these issues might have taken place:

  • Your billing address is different to the one registered with your debit/credit card provider.
  • You have attempted too many payments in a short period of time.
  • There is an issue with your vehicle enrollment.
How to pay for fuel in the Pay to Fuel service?

Mobile app - please follow the steps:

  1. Open Pay to Fuel feature within MyŠkoda App
  2. Register in the feature (accept T&C, allow access to Škoda ID, insert personal details – license plate, address, and payment method)
  3. Go to your vehicle infotainment

Web app – please follow the steps:

  1. Find the Refueling Payments service in your in-car infotainment – download it from the in-car shop
  2. Click on the app icon
  3. Click on the “Start button” in the bottom left corner
  4. Choose the number of the petrol pump stand
  5. Choose the fuel type vi. Confirm the transaction (the maximum amount you can for)
  6. Start fueling
  7. Finish fueling, return the nozzle to the stand, return to the car and drive away
I cannot see any transaction / fueling history in the app.

Fueling history is not available in the current version of app.

I cannot see any invoice in the app.

Invoice is not available in the mobile app or web app – it is sent to customer’s e-mail.

How the petrol pump crew know that I pay via Pay to Fuel

The petrol station crew can see which petrol pump stand´s was handled online.

Pre-authorized session refused by the bank (card cancelled after pre-authorization or insufficient funds due to payments processed after pre-authorization)

Please try again or use different card.

How is the payment carried out in a foreign currency (e.g. Swiss Francs)?

You will be charged based on the currency of choice for your registered country and all financial invoices/receipts will be generated based on the requirements of that same country.
