Wrong way alert

If you approach a slip road on to a motorway in the wrong direction, Traffication will alert you and ask you to stop. Other Škodas with the Traffication app in the vicinity are informed of the risk. Wrong Way Alert also works the other way around – if any other car, even if it is not a Škoda, drives into oncoming traffic, the app will alert you to the danger with a notification.

Automatic alerts from traffication-active Škodas

Škoda cars fitted with Traffication automatically alert each other (i.e. without the need for any action on the part of the driver) to potential hazards in their surroundings. For example, if a car has activated its hazard lights (because it has broken down) or fog lights (because of poor visibility), other drivers in the vicinity will receive a notification on their infotainment display.

Adverse weather alert

Traffication can warn you in advance of dangerous weather on your route that could make driving conditions more difficult. For example, Traffication can inform you about slippery roads, a thunderstorm, heavy snow, or torrential rain.

Manual traffication alerts from Škoda drivers

Drivers who have installed Traffication in their cars can inform other drivers of road hazards. They enter these warnings into the app manually, then send them out to other drivers. For example, the app can be used to warn of roadworks, a tailback, bad weather, or animals. Become part of the Škoda community and help other Škoda drivers to travel more safely.

How to install the app

Order the app and install it in your car’s infotainment system. How?

Installation via the infotainment

Go to in-car Shop

Find the Shop tile in your infotainment system and enter.

Install the app

Find the Traffication tile, enter and click “Install”.

Confirm Terms and Conditions

The app is activated once you have agreed to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Traffication is available for 6 months free of charge. When this trial period ends, you can sign up for another year for a small charge.

Get going!

The app runs in the background whenever the car is started, so there is no need to switch it on or off. Notifications are flashed up on the infotainment system display.

Installation via the Connect Portal

Enter the Connect Portal

Enter the Škoda Connect Portal at www.skoda-connect.com. You will need your email and access password to log in. Alternatively, you can go directly to the Škoda Connect Shop via shop.skoda-connect.com.

Enter the Connect Shop

Go to Shop, then Services, Apps & Features.

Select Infotainment apps

Click on Infotainment apps to see the current range of additional apps available for your infotainment system.

Install the app

Confirm the Traffication app by pressing the “Add to Cart” button. Follow this procedure to automatically install the app in your car’s infotainment system for 6 months free of charge. When this trial period ends, you can sign up for another year for a small charge.

Get going!

Once you have agreed to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, the app will appear in the main Menu in your car infotainment system. The app runs in the background whenever the car is started, so there is no need to switch it on or off. Notifications are flashed up on the infotainment system display.
