The new ŠKODA Yeti
Defined by a combination of elegant design and uncompromising functionality, there’s plenty to be excited about. Its bold and sophisticated new look – the sharp angles and clean lines, and new ŠKODA logo – all hint at the Yeti's remarkable on and off-road capabilities.
New Yeti was unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show and are now available to order. Made for outdoor adventure, but equally at home in the city, the new ŠKODA Yeti will be available in three trim grades – Active, Ambition and Elegance.
Since its market launch, the ŠKODA Yeti has touched the hearts of SUV enthusiasts. As well as winning Top Gear’s Family Car of the year award 2009 shortly after its release, the Yeti was named the most satisfying car to own by UK drivers in the annual Auto Express Driver Power customer satisfaction survey 2012 and 2013.
“The new Yeti isn't much different from the car it replaces, but that's no bad thing - it remains one of the most practical and fun-to drive SUVs on the market..”

We’ve made the new Yeti exterior more striking and dynamic. This includes a distinctive tailgate design with precise moulded rear light clusters in the characteristic ŠKODA ‘C’ shape, which can be enhanced with LED technology.
The wheel program has been expanded with four attractive alloy wheel designs. There will also be a wider selection of colours available, including three new metallic finishes – ‘Moon-White’, ‘Jungle-Green’ and ‘Metal-Grey’.
In keeping with ŠKODA’s new design language, the front of the vehicle is more horizontally accentuated with a distinctive grille and redesigned headlights – they are now rectangular and the fog lights are integrated into the front bumper. And for the first time, we can offer the option of Bi-Xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.
Fresh and Spacious Interior
The inside of the Yeti is just as striking as the outside, and can be personalised with a choice of upholsteries, colours and inserts, new fabrics and patterns for the seat covers as well as new decorative trims for the dashboards.
A feature we’re particularly proud of is the ŠKODA Yeti’s Varioflex rear seating system, which provides over 20 flexible and functional seating combinations. In an instant, the Yeti can be transformed from a five to a four seater vehicle, making even more space for the passengers sat in the back.
In no other compact SUV will the passengers sitting in the back have as much headroom as in the new ŠKODA Yeti (1027 millimetres). The boot capacity isn’t too shabby either, offering 405 litres of space with the rear seats up, and a massive 1,580 litres with the rear seats down – so there’s lots of boot space for your shopping, sports kit, gardening equipment, pushchairs and the dog!
Safety features
“The Yeti's other strength is the trademark ŠKODA attribute of functionality. It's a car built for families who need their vehicle to be a working tool.”
Ken Gibson, The Sun; 7th February 2014
Innovative Technology
The new ŠKODA Yeti models will be our first to come with an optional rear-view parking camera. It will also feature the automatic lock and start function ‘KESSY’, as well as the latest generation of the automatic Park Assist system – press a button and the system will begin searching for a parking space in a line of cars or obstacles.
There a many useful Simply Clever features available on the new Yeti models, including a double-sided floor covering and a detachable LED light in the boot, and a waste container in the side door to name a few.
Engine Line-Up
The Yeti is available with a range of modern engines, including two-wheel drive (four-wheel drive will now only be available on Yeti Outdoor models) manual transmission and advanced DSG automatic transmissions.
The GreenLine II version of the new Yeti will be available in two-wheel drive with a manual gearbox and will emit just 119 g/km of CO2.

Smart Protection
The new ŠKODA Yeti models are uncompromised in terms of safety, receiving the maximum 5-star rating in the 2009 Euro NCAP Crash tests.
Active safety is enhanced with ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and ABS (Anti-lock Breaking System). Other smart protection features include a driver fatigue sensor and hill-hold control, which applies pressure on the braking system for a further one or two seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal, allowing enough time to move away without rolling.
In terms of passive safety, the new Yeti possesses up to nine airbags, height-adjustable headrests, and ISOFIX points to securely fasten child seats to the car's chassis, ensuring the child seat is effectively secured in the event of a collision. ISOFIX can be specified on the front passenger seat too.
